How much does it cost to join PlayerMania.com?

PlayerMania.com is completely free.

How do I create an account?

You can either click on the "Join Now" button on the home page or click on the "Create Account" link by any login box. Once you get to the create account page you will have to enter the required information and an e-mail will be sent to you to verify your e-mail address.

How do I upload my photo and select it to become my trading card?

Once you have successfully created your account, click on the "Home" button and it will take you to your home page. To upload a photo just click on the "Photos" link on the left side under Media. From there just click on the "Add" button and select the photo book you want your new photo to be in. Now just click on the select button to choose a photo on your local computer to upload. Once you have selected your photos just click on the "Upload" button.

To select your primary photo which will be your trading card, just browse to the photo you want to be primary and click on the "Set as default" button. Based on your browser it might not update right away because of caching.

How do I change my sport information?

Just go to your home page and click on the "Sports" link on the left pane. From there you can select the sports you play and choose a default sport to show up when your profile is viewed. To edit details about that sport, just click on the "Edit Sport Info" link and once your done click on the "Update" button.

How do I manage a team or golf facility and why would I want to do that?

Think of being a manager of a page as having your own webpage. Once your a manager of a page you will have rights to change any of the content on that page. For example if you became the manager of a golf facility you will be able to add a summary about the facility, enter in the score cards and manage the comments. A manager of a team has full rights to add a season summary and approve things such as photos, videos and comments. This is your site so anytime something changes you are responsible to update it. If for some reason the page isent getting updated or if its getting updated with the wrong information, you can be removed as the manager.

How do I add my golf scores and find out my handicap and rank?

First you need to make sure that the score cards are added correctly to the golf facility page. If its not in there then you can add it by being the page manager. Once the score card is added, just find the tee you played and click on the icon. This will bring up a popup window where you enter in your scores. Handicap is not computed until you play at least five rounds. Also remember that handicap is not computed on nine hole courses. To edit your scores just go to your home page and click on the "Sports" link and then click on the "Golf Scores" button where you can view the details to edit.

How can I link a high school or college team to my profile?

To link a team to your profile just hover over the "Teams" menu item at the top and choose either "High School" or "College". From there it takes you to a main page for each option. Click on your state to browse the schools by state. Use the dropdown box to do a quick search. Once you find your school, you will see all the sports added for that school. If you don't see your team there then just click on the "Add" link next to either "Sports" or "Teams". Adding a team will make you the manager by default. Once your team is there just go to the team page and click on the "Join team" link and select either player, coach or fan. Once you click the "Join" button then the team will be connected to your profile where you can add your stats for that year.

How can I search for a players?

To do a search for a player just hover over the "Players" menu item at the top and choose "Browse". By default the results will show you players for all sports. To filter it out by sport just click on the name of the sport you want them to play at the top. From there it will bring up a bunch of options for that sport. Play with the options to find the perfect player for your team.

How can I add my bowling scores?

To add your bowling scores all you need to do is login and go to your home page. On your home page you will see an item called "Sports" on the left panel. Click on that and at the top it will say "Bowling Scores". After you click on that just click on "Add Score" and a window will pop up that will allow you to enter in your scores. Remember that if you want this to show up on your profile you must select bowling as one of your sports from the sports info page.
